I hope you will find it interesting and informative. Our school is at an exciting point in its history with many new things happening. From September 2012 we will become Wareham St Mary Primary School (CE VC) and are currently working on many aspects of school life that will need to change to accommodate this. One of these is ensuring that we have the very best learning environment for all pupils.
Our school will be going through a programme of refurbishment over the coming year. We have been developing our outdoor learning environment and revising the curriculum to include pupil involvement and responsibility. We are especially proud of the high level of ICT provision to support learning which we are continuing to develop further as we become a Primary School. This year we have become a Rights Respecting School. Central to daily life in school are key rights for children along with helping them to understand their responsibilities linked with those rights.
We recently had a monitoring visit from OFSTED where progress and capacity to continue that progress was recognised a good. Please read the OFSTED letter below for more details.
I am fortunate to have truly dedicated and enthusiastic staff who are passionate about providing the very best learning opportunities for all of the pupils in our care.
I believe that caring for each child in our school as an individual is central to all we do. The views and opinions of our pupils and indeed all members of the school community are important to us.
